4-1/2 in. Conical Type 29 Phenolic Backing 40 Grit (40C) 7/8 in. Arbor Hole Tiger Ceramic Abrasive Flap Disc

  • Item Code: 50101
  • Brand: Weiler
  • Unit Size: 1

Description

Tiger Ceramic 4.5 inch conical flap discs are designed for maximum performance when grinding aluminum, stainless steel and other hard-to-grind metals. A top coat protects high-value parts stainless steel parts from heat discolorization and also prevents loading on soft alloys like aluminum.

Ceramic grains utilize a crystalline structure that is designed with millions of fracture points that self-sharpen at a higher rate than other grains. The result is a high material removal rate, cool grinding, and reduced friction at less pressure which reduces operator fatigue.

The type 29 conical disc shape maximizes surface contact when grinding between 15 deg. - 25 deg. for aggressive stock removal on flat surfaces while the 40 grit abrasive grain is best for edge beveling, chamfering, weld grinding, and blending with a right angle grinder.

    • Top coated for cool grinding, protecting high-value parts from heat discoloration.
    • Prevents loading on soft alloys like aluminum.
    • Contaminant-free (contains less than 0.1% Fe, S, Cl).
    • Conical disc shape maximizes surface contact for aggressive stock removal on flat surfaces.
    • Ceramic alumina (CA) grains are self-sharpening micro-fracturing crystals that expose sharp edges, maintaining a high cut-rate for the life of the grain.
    • 7/8" open or plain arbor offers a cost-effective mounting option when using adapting nuts.
    • Best on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other hard-to-grind metals.
