R454 high performance Force-X drills will produce good quality and accurate holes (H9 hole tolerance), even when operating at high speeds and feeds. They have a titanium aluminium nitride coating which increases the service life of the drill and improves performance when drilling harder materials, whilst the premium carbide used in manufacture means the drills can be used for drilling steels, aluminium, stainless steelss and other materials. The CTW flute design (Continuously Thinned Web) provides improved strength, allowing the drill to operate at higher cutting speeds and feeds. R454 Force-X drills have a 140 degree, 4-facet split point as an aid to self-centering and to reduce the push force required.
