RT100 T drills were developed by Guhring to provide the high penetration rates and dimensional accuracy of the RT100 family of drills in extremely deep hole applications.

Guhring offers 5 different standard length (15xD, 20xD, 25xD, 30xD & 40xD) tools from stock. These helical style tools replace expensive gun drilling operations on CNC equipment. The RT100 T drill creates a short consistent chip formation that allows for higher feed rates in a wide variety of materials without time consuming peck cycles. Recommended for CNC machining centers with greater than 200 psi coolant pressure. RT100 T drills have a reinforced shank and we recommend using high quality hydraulic chucks to guarantee the highest concentricity and drilling efficiency.

All RT100 T drills require and initial pilot hole to help guide the drill. Use a standard m7 tolerance RT100 U style drill with a 140º point angle as a pilot drill (1xD). Enter the RT100 T slowly into the pilot hole and then set the coolant pressure and speed. Upon reaching the drilling depth, switch off the speed and coolant and withdraw the tool. These operating parameters will assure maximum efficiency and tool life.
