Description

Guhring offers a parabolic flute design called GT that allows end users to drill deeper, with less drill retracts and high feed rates. The open flute design decrease chip packing while the parallel web design aids in chip evacuation. Once considered a design for drilling aluminum, Guhring refined the parabolic flute form and developed designs for all materials. No other manufacturer offers the variety of parabolic flute designs that Guhring now offers as standard stocked items.

The GT100 parabolic flute design is suitable for a wide range of materials and the most universal. Available in high-speed steel (HSS), cobalt (HSCO) and carbide substrates, the GT100 flute form can be used to successfully drill ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Standard GT100 drills incorporate a 130º point angle with a Type A web thin for maximum efficiency.
