Description
R459 carbide drills are manufactured from premium carbide and can be used for drilling many materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steels. They are high performance drills, able to produce accurate, high quality holes (H9 hole tolerance) even at higher speeds and feeds which can be achieved thanks to the special CTW flute design (Continuously Thinned Web) and coolant feed. R459 carbide drills have a 140 degree 4-facet, split point to help with self-centering and reduce the force needed to drill into the workpiece. The drills are coated with titanium aluminium nitride which improves tool life and enhances performance when drilling harder materials.
