These drills are designed with oil holes the length of the land section of the drill to deliver a high pressure oil flow to cutting edges. The resulting flow flushes chips out of the hole to reduce heat and chip packing problems common to deep hole drilling applications. Surface speeds may be increased 30% or more over standard drill styles.
